Massimo La Rosa

Massimo La Rosa has been solo trombobe of La Fenice Opera House Orchestra , The Cleveland Orchestra and the Saito Kinen Orchestra.
He has also performed as guest solo trombone with La Scala Opera House and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome.
Mr. La Rosa ´s performances include solo recitals in Europe, South America, North America and 'asia.
As a soloist he has collaborated with Franz Welser-Möst.
Mr. La Rosa has recorded two critically acclaimed solo recordings , "Sempre Espressivo" (2013) and "Cantando" (2010).
La Rosa also perfomed as solo trombone on the recent Grammy Award winning recording of Ravel´s L´Enfant et Les Sortileges with Seji Ozawa and the Saito Kinen Orchestra -
Born in Palermo, Italy, Mr. La Rosa grew up in Belmonte Mezzagno and studied with Filippo Bonanno. He enjoys playing for social causes, helping to raise money and awareness for organizations including the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, the ANFE Light of Life Foundation and UNICEF.
